Quran Memorization Course for Kids
Short, focused sessions of 25 to 45 minutes based on age. Teachers use repetition games and voice recall drills, and parents get notes after every class.
Memorize the Quran from home with a certified Hafiz teacher who listens to every verse, corrects your Tajweed live, and keeps your revision on track. Private one-on-one Hifz lessons, scheduled around your family's week.
For fourteen centuries, the Quran has been memorized one way: a student recites, a teacher who has already memorized it listens, and every slip gets corrected on the spot. That live chain of listening and correcting is what keeps the words exact. Apps and playlists can help you practice, but they cannot hear a missed letter or a rushed elongation.
Our quran memorization course keeps that tradition fully intact and simply moves the classroom to your screen. Run by Tawhid Academy, every lesson is private, every teacher is a Hafiz or Hafiza, and every session follows the same proven daily structure used in Hifz schools around the world.
"The best among you is the one who learns the Quran and teaches it."
Sunan Abu Dawud 1452Becoming a Hafiz is one of the most rewarding goals a Muslim can set, but it is also a long road. Most families who start on their own stall within a few months, usually because revision falls behind and older Surahs start to fade. A structured quran memorization program solves that by giving you a fixed routine, a teacher who holds you accountable, and a plan that matches your real schedule.
Whether your goal is the full Quran, Juz Amma, or simply the Surahs you recite in Salah, we start where you are today and build from there.
Kids, working adults, sisters, and new Muslims all memorize differently. We adjust session length, daily targets and teaching style to suit each student.
Short, focused sessions of 25 to 45 minutes based on age. Teachers use repetition games and voice recall drills, and parents get notes after every class.
Flexible early morning, evening and weekend slots for busy professionals. Start with 5 to 7 lines per session and grow at a pace that actually lasts.
Learn privately with a qualified female Hafiza teacher on any plan, at no extra cost. A calm, comfortable space for sisters and girls of every age.
Start with Al-Fatiha and the short Surahs you need for prayer. Your teacher fixes pronunciation first, then adds memorization one step at a time.
Every one of our quran memorization classes is built on three parts that Hifz teachers have relied on for generations. New memorization and revision happen side by side, in every single session.
Fresh verses memorized today. Children usually take half a page to a full page. Adults begin with 5 to 7 lines and add more as their memory builds strength.
Everything learned over the last 7 to 20 sessions, recited from memory. This is where hidden weak spots show up, so the teacher listens closely and marks them.
Juz memorized weeks or months ago, reviewed in rotation. Manzil is what separates a student who keeps their Hifz from one who slowly loses it.
1. Test old portionsStudent recites older Juz without the text while the teacher notes errors.
2. Recite recent lessonsCorrections are made and home practice is adjusted around the weakest verses.
3. Learn new versesTeacher recites, student repeats, and Makharij are fixed before moving on.
4. Set homeworkClear revision targets for tonight. Parents of young kids get them by message.
Why so much revision? The Prophet, peace be upon him, told his companions to keep reviewing the Quran because it slips from memory faster than a camel escapes its rope (Sahih al-Bukhari 5033). This daily practice, known as Murajaah, is the heart of our method. A student who memorizes ten Juz without regular review can lose most of it within months. A student who revises consistently keeps it for life.
Every plan in our online quran memorization course is fully one-on-one. No registration fee, no long contracts, and you can cancel anytime. Your first class is completely free.
Honest timelines matter. Children aged 7 to 10 on daily lessons often finish the full Quran in 3 to 5 years. Adults usually need longer for pure memorization, but they have an advantage children do not: they understand what they are reciting, and meaning makes verses stick.
| Memorization Goal | Typical Timeline | Recommended Schedule |
|---|---|---|
| Selected Surahs for daily prayers | 1 to 3 months | 2 to 3 sessions a week, 30 minutes |
| Last 10 Surahs of the Quran | 1 to 2 months | 3 sessions a week, 30 minutes |
| Juz Amma (30th Juz, 37 Surahs) | 3 to 6 months | 3 to 5 sessions a week, 30 to 45 minutes |
| Half Quran (15 Juz) | 2 to 4 years | 5 sessions a week, 60 minutes |
| Full Quran (become a Hafiz) | 3 to 7 years for kids, 5 to 10 for adults | Daily sessions, 60 minutes |
The years between 5 and 12 are often called the golden window for Hifz. Young minds absorb new verses quickly, but they also forget quickly without steady revision. That is why our quran memorization course for kids is designed around smaller daily targets and more frequent review, rather than long, tiring lessons.
A child learning 5 to 7 lines a day, five days a week, will usually build stronger Hifz by the end of the year than a child pushing for a full page three times a week. Steady beats rushed, every time.
Our teachers who work with children are trained to correct gently and build confidence. Memorizing under fear only adds stress, and stress is the biggest enemy of long-term retention.
Parents always ask how they can be sure a teacher is qualified. It is the right question to ask. Before anyone teaches our online quran memorization classes, we check four things.
Every teacher has memorized the entire Quran and recites from memory during lessons, so errors are caught instantly instead of being checked against a screen.
Our teachers hold Ijazah in the Hafs 'an Asim narration, a formal certification with an unbroken chain of teachers reaching back to the Prophet, peace be upon him.
A minimum of two years teaching and at least ten student references, which we follow up personally. Memorizing the Quran and teaching it well are two different skills.
Tajweed is corrected throughout memorization, not afterward. Each new verse is learned with correct Makharij from the first repetition, so bad habits never form.
Class time matters, but what happens between lessons decides how fast you progress. These habits help every student we teach.
Your memory stores the position of each verse on the page. Switching between print editions and apps means learning the layout twice. We share a recommended Mushaf before your first class.
Fajr and the hour after it are favorites for good reason: the mind is fresh and the house is quiet. Whatever time you choose, keep it the same each day.
Play the new lesson several times by a reciter you trust before your session. Familiar sounds are far easier to hold on to.
Use newly memorized verses in your Sunnah and Nafl prayers. Reciting from memory under real conditions is the best test there is.
On busy days, drop the new lesson before you drop Sabaqi. Losing old portions costs far more time than pausing new ones.
Reading a short translation of each passage gives your memory a story to follow. Adults in particular retain verses better this way.
